BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) – Court records show criminal histories for two men involved in a shooting at an Alabama fish camp that severely wounded a teenage girl.

The Press-Register reports (bit.ly/I1yIhC ) William “Nick” Hearn and Larry Dean Duncan Jr. have cocaine distribution charges in their past.

Law enforcement officials said the men, along with Lonnie W. Davison, responded to what they thought was a break-in on Gravine Island and fired two warning shots. one hit 17-year-old Summer Moody in the back of the head.

The men haven't been charged, though prosecutors are still examining the case.

A lawyer for Moody's family said Thursday she remained comatose after emergency surgery.

Authorities said Moody and three teenage friends boated to the island early last week to hunt frogs and alligators. her companions have been charged with burglary.
