Unemployment Extension Passed but Eligibility for Full 99 Weeks May Decline

Unemployment for 99ers

Unemployment for 99ers is growing drastically by the week. Is been reported that the four-week average for new unemployment insurance applications has jumped to 408,500. More than half of all Americans surveyed told a Gallup poll that the United States economy is in a recession. there is a new bill called the HR589. If approved, it will provide an additional 14 weeks of unemployment for 99ers compensation.

Representative Barbara Lee and Bobby Scott met with the speaker of the House to discuss this bill being passed immediately. there was no argument regarding this situation. This entire conversation revolved around funding, that is emergency funding versus paid for funding. Rep. Barbara Lee and Bobby Scott advise all 99ers to continue to reach re. Boehner’s and your state representative’s bi-partisan support for the HR589 for the umbrella emergency spending. It is imperative that we unemployment for 99ers people stand for what we believe to be right and fight this battle together. Unemployment 99ers extension looks like is not the government first priority right now. They just keep on pushing it to the side like if the economy is back to normal. Unemployed 99ers don’t give up.

I have saved some of my unemployment money for difficult times. I have applied like many others to different jobs but I find myself getting rejection letters and only to be told that there were other candidates that were better qualified. Today’s economy frustrates people who are ready to work and are prepared with excellent resumes and references but the reality of it is that companies are simply not hiring. So what is someone suppose to do in this difficult times? I tried selling things on E-bay and cutting my neighbors grass just to pay my cell phone in case any of the hundreds of jobs that I applied to decides to call me.
