HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN J

Senior News for Oct. 30

“Picnic in the Park”… that is what 52 members of the Rainbow City Senior Club did on Oct. 4 at the Rainbow City Park. the picnic was a success with lots of good food, fellowship and perfect weather.

We thank our cooks of the day: James Simpson, Don Planchon and Warren Wheeler. they did a good job with the hamburgers and hot dogs. Thanks to all who brought sides and desserts.

We are looking forward to our “Night of Music” at the Rainbow City Community Center, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Nov. 10. We will have some real talent performing great music. the tickets are $5 and can be purchased from any member. We will be giving away four door prizes of $25 each. Free soft drinks will be available. you do not have to be present to win. just buy a ticket.

We were blessed on Sept. 20 by James Oden, Norris Evans and Ted Talley singing several Christian songs with Margaret Blakely at the piano.

On Oct. 18, we were entertained by Adair Arthur, who played the guitar while he sang gospel songs and songs from the 1950s. We thank all who take their time to come to our club and bless us with their talents.

We send prayers for a speedy recovery to Joe Holbrooks, Margaret Jones, Mary Lawson, Louis McMeekin, Charles Moon and Helen Planchon.

Happy birthday in October to Warren Wheeler, Doris Hann and Everette Lacey. We wish the best to our anniversary couples in October: David and Diane Reeves, Joe and Joann Holbrooks and James and Carol Simpson.

Bingo winners for Sept. 27 were Mary Fox (twice), Barbara Moon, Charles Moon and Lois Lee.

Bingo winners for Oct. 11 were Linda Farley, Gail Martin, Peggy Oden, Joe Holbrooks and Shirley Pendergraft. the pot of gold was won by Margie Ryder. Era Bush baked the cake and Gail Martin was the winner.

Happy Birthday CakeMail!

CakeMail is 4 years old today! Maybe some of you remember this beautiful Saturday, November 3, 2007, where we did our very first demo of the CakeMail application during BarCampMontreal3 at Society for Arts and Technology? Our beloved cupcakes were already there (of course!) for the pleasure of the attendees – and to make sure we were remembered!

We’ve come a long way since then! CakeMail is now up to version 3.1, our user-base has grown from a handful of great customers to hundreds and of course, we can’t forget our team – we’ve been growing too! Our talented team is our most precious asset. thank you, CakeMail Team!

Since it’s a special day, we also want to thank YOU, for being CakeMail clients, partners and friends. For being there, using our product, and helping us improve! Without you, we would not be here, and it’s why we want to invite you to participate in our CakeMail Facebook page and CakeMail Twitter draws for…

Just wish us a “Happy Birthday” on our CakeMail Facebook page or via Twitter (we’re @cakemail) and we’ll send a t-shirt to the first 10 of you (on every platform).
